I can't believe I walked away from this, I feel like a complete traitor.
My apologies, these past months had been major stress and family drama for me. However, the past is behind us, and it's time to kick off March 2009 with a bang!
First off, I have changed a few rules of the group, thanks to the suggestions of members. Thank you for helping me out!
OUR PURPOSE:
The purpose of First-Nations is to keep the spirit of America's first people alive. We are also here to teach others about the real tribes, not those depicted in black-and-white Westerns.
Have a drawing? Maybe a snippet of music? A photo of some family or even a recipe? Please show us!
All are welcome!
RULES FOR JOINING:
1. Note the group with the subject 'join', and watch us. We will watch you in return!
2. You don't have to be part Native. A love of the culture is enough for us! After all, this group is about cultural diversity and all, right?
3. The usual..No flaming, or bashing, blah, blah.
SUBMITTING ARTWORK:
1. Send a note with the subject "Submission", with a link to the piece in question.
2. And let us know if there's anything special you want to say.
It's that simple!
Love,
Storm Woman; First Nations Admin

It's kind of ironic because they look really METIS.
I'm not!^_^
Everyone at my school either thinks I'm Puerto Rican or Italian.
Peace.
Being Métis in Quebec used to be looked upon as a shameful thing, even worse than being fullblood. The times have changed, but not all the attitudes have, unfortunately.

All they do is laugh in yo' face, anytime you go anyplace.
Coffeepot, flyin' around the room, music box foretellin' my doom.

I kinda feel bad for them, you shouldn't have to be ashamed of yourself no matter what you are.
